GRABBING LIFE BY THE SLICE

"You wanna know what was really hard?" -L. "Spinning the pizza dough," like they do in pizza shops.

shared their kitchen, recipe, and patience with our students, showing them how to make pizza from scratch.👩ðŸ½â€ðŸ³

Students rolled up their sleeves and got to work measuring flour, kneading dough, and chopping🔪 fresh toppings.ðŸ…🧅🫑🧀 Each step guided them through important life skills:

✅Putting classroom lessons to use

✅Fostering collaboration & problem-solving

✅Building self confidence & self sufficiency

Spinning pizza aside, L. had a great time making and an even better time eating her pizza, which was filled with pepperoni, peppers, and mushrooms. Unraveling a saved slice that she brought back to campus, you could see the pride she had in her creation and more importantly, in herself.
